Durante nueve días de agosto se realizó en nuestra ciudad la octava edición del Festival Danzar Santa Fe. En esta nota una participante comparte cómo vivió este ambiente de intercambio y celebración de los cuerpos y las identidades. En un contexto en el que muchos están cerrando, este rubro en el que trabajan en su gran mayoría mujeres y disidencias apuesta por no parar de gestionar y hasta abre nuevos espacios.
–¿Es acá?
–Sí, la ubicación dice que es acá.
En el fondo de una icónica galería de la peatonal santafesina, nos envuelve el hedor húmedo y frío que desprenden el ladrillo y la madera que hace tiempo no ven la luz del sol.
Caminamos entre los locales vacíos, bajo la mirada de un maniquí semidesnudo que parece un muerto vivo. La intriga por la música y el bullicio que viene desde arriba nos empuja a subir las escaleras. Se abre una especie de portal hacia otro mundo. Acá se respira otra cosa. Hay olor a pintura fresca.
Autogestión
Un nuevo espacio para los cuerpos danzantes abre sus puertas gracias al enorme laburo autogestivo de un grupo de trabajadoras de la cultura. Se trata del Centro Coreográfico del Litoral (tambien llamado BUS) que está ubicado en la legendaria galería Árbol Solo (San Martín 2185) y que a partir de ahora será un búnker para las disciplinas del movimiento y el arte escénico.
Es el primer día del Festival Danzar y para la apertura hay batalla. Uno a uno les competidores de la Street Jam entran al cuadrado y despliegan sus artilugios dibujando formas en el aire al ritmo de la música. El jurado observa, anota, aplaude, asiente, elige.
En la esquina derecha un participante comienza a deslizarse con suavidad por los bordes del cuadrilátero. Se pavonea para aquí y por allá, hipnotiza a los espectadores con su movimiento de caderas. Da un salto, toca el piso y se vuelve a parar. Queda frente a frente con su batallante. Sus manos rápidas y precisas dibujan un marco alrededor de su cara enunciando lo que será una fatality inminente. Por fuera del cuadrado, el público estalla en gritos y ovaciones. Se termina el tiempo y la misma secuencia se repite: les participantes se ríen, se reconocen, se abrazan.
La consigna de "la danza es trabajo" resuena entre batalla y batalla.
El Cypher (el enfrentamiento) termina pero el festival continúa.
Gestionar cultura
De este lado del portal las horas son ambiciosas. Se pasan descalzas entre entrenamiento, mates, clases, ensayos y funciones. De este lado, hay espacio para todes. El factor común es el deseo de moverse, explorar y expresarse.
“Yo quiero que en Santa Fe se respire danza”, es lo primero que me dice Daniel Payero Zaragoza cuando le pregunto cómo nace la idea del Festival. Nos sentamos a charlar en el piso mientras transcurre una clase de contemporáneo con Milo J sonando de fondo.
Daniel es integrante del Movimiento Santafesino de Danza y de la mesa de trabajo del Festival, del cual es fundador y gestor. “Hace ocho años decidimos unir a todas las escuelas, academias, ballets, compañías de la ciudad y acá estamos, esto es el Festival, es encuentro. La danza es política, es gestión, es cultura y es salud”.
Mientras charlamos pienso en lo importante de sostener estos micromundos, a pesar del abrumador contexto socioeconómico que enfrentamos. Dani me cuenta, orgulloso, que este año se incluyó a la cumbia santafesina en la programación del Festival como una reivindicación. “Todas las danzas tienen el mismo esfuerzo, el mismo gasto, la misma preparación y por ende, no hay una danza menor que la otra. La cumbia santafesina es parte de nuestro ADN. En muchos de los casos es la primera vez que compañías de danzas de barrios periféricos van a poder subirse al escenario del Teatro Municipal. Es muy importante que la cumbia esté, porque es el único lenguaje de movimiento que nace acá, nace en los bailes, en los barrios. Vos escuchas una cumbia y se te mueve el culo, se te mueve el alma, se te mueve el corazón, por eso es importante la danza”. Nos reímos.
Mercedes Sosa decía que la cultura es lo único que puede salvar al pueblo, lo único, porque la cultura permite ver la miseria y combatirla.
–¿Cómo es posible gestionar cultura en este contexto?¿Qué hace falta ?
–Faltan políticas públicas para la danza, en este momento estamos sufriendo una precarización intelectual desde la gestión cultural de la ciudad de Santa Fe. Debería haber una programación, no es improvisar, es generar una plataforma de contención.
Para Daniel la cultura es mucho más que hacer un show cada tanto.
Diálogo
El jueves 15 de agosto se celebró por primera vez el Día de la Danza Santafesina, con una grilla casi imposible de seguir y doble función a sala llena. El escenario de la Sala Mayor del Teatro Municipal hizo los honores ante el despliegue de las diversas propuestas artísticas.
En muchas de las creaciones locales se destacó la cuidadosa construcción de las llamadas “zonas de incomodidad”, como dice el artista Pope L. A través de decisiones estéticas y performáticas, se buscó interpelar al espectador abriendo un espacio de contacto, diálogo y transformación.
Para cerrar la noche del jueves, “Pronóstico de asfixia” de la compañía Una Incógnita, con la dirección de Valeria Fontanetto, capturó a la perfección el clima social de los últimos meses: un bombardeo diario de decretos delirantes que reducen nuestros derechos a migajas, los precios suben, la guita no alcanza, hay hambre. El nivel de compromiso de les intérpretes en escena cautiva a los espectadores, dejándonos sin aire. No quiero spoilear nada más; sólo insistir en que vayan a verla.
Así es frente a un presente que angustia y paraliza, el movimiento santafesino de danza elige dar respuesta: abriendo portales, haciendo trinchera y poniendo al cuerpo en acción como forma de combatir la miseria.
